How can i build a bridge there?

jef396

I did it by making a ramp hung on cables.  Amazingly it doesn't swing when the train hits it.

What are the low totals for this level?

I have , with no broke links

Just wonder how low....

*Further spoiler*

It's also possible to create a bridge off to the right and have it swing into place.

This is a three cable ramp.  Two of the cables are hung on the left.

For my design, I have 2 deck tracks as close as they can get to the edge of the train level, and at the same height of the train.  3 heavy beams connect from all three vertices and converge halfway to the max length at point A.  2 cables connect from the floating bases to point A.  The single connection allows the deck to swing back and forth to compensate for the uneven weight of the train.  I'm not sure if this bridge would work in real life, however, because the Pontifex train uses the physics of a rocket engine, whereas a real train actually presses against the ground to propell itself foreward.

I solved this one by creating a bridge hanging of cabling from the floating anchors, and having it swing into place. Unfortunately, the bridge has a tendancy to destroy quite a bit of itself getting into place (it probably swings furthur than really neccessary), but it's strong enough to hold the weight of the train for the times that the train needs to cross...  Hadn't thought of doing it the way that gray suggested...

You can create a bridge int the air with 3 horizontal levels connected, then simply disconnect it from the point.
it collapses and breaks apart but the top level stays above ground.

Here's another solution.  Pretty minimal at , but it passes the test.  http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

My solution was to build a heavy steel support hanging down to hold the deck, with some cables running from the ancor to hold the other side. On the end I had a peice of deck sticking up that would fall into place once i hit test (ala bridge builder) i would post a pic but my dad deleted it trying himself, thanks a lot. Its dirty but it works.
