The rules don't say anything about the train getting wet, do they?

Hmmm, the pros have http://www.chroniclogic.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi" target="_blank">http://www.chroniclogic.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi bookmarked, of course :-) [may require cookies?]
Plus if you use "New Posts" [requires javascript, or go directly to http://www.chroniclogic.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/newposts.cgi" target="_blank">http://www.chroniclogic.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/newposts.cgi ] you need to log on only once to get to all the new posts, no matter what forum they're in.

Webster's New Encyclopedic Dictionary, 1996 edition, lists "Gray" as a "Common English Given Name"; "Grey" is not listed.
In the section on "Biographical, Biblical and Mythological Names" I find Thomas Gray (1716-71), an English Poet; or Zane Grey (1875-1939), an American author, next to Lady Jane Grey (1537-54), who was an English noblewoman beheaded as a possible rival for the throne (at less than 18 years of age, too!).

Neither Calastigro nor Cagliostro are listed in Webster's, but google says you are the former and the latter was an adventurer and self-styled magician of the 18th century. :-)

mendel (not Gregor, but a short form of Mendelsohn, which is not directly related to Mendelssohn-Bartholdy).

You know you're a Pontimaniac if...
6) ... you dream of having a date with "Miss Sweden", wake up, read this on the web (http://www.velorian.org/miss_sweden.htm)

Miss Sweden. ... Twenty students killed as school bus skids off Gloemstrom Bridge. The reigning Miss Sweden and the student's ski coach were among those killed .

and think: "If they'd let me build the bridge, she'd still live." before finding out it's a piece of fiction anyway.

30) The people who don't play Pontifex are not your friends any longer (the feeling is mutual)

31) You not only have this forum bookmarked, it is the homepage of your browser

re 29): A high number of posts may not be indicative of pontimania, but of extended exchanges with relatives that have limited entertainment value to the rest of the world...  I certainly hope you find a way to reduce that to sane levels again ;)

22) Your friends invite you to a game of bridge, hand you a deck of cards, and you start building a bridge out of the cards.
23) You see nothing unusual about 22).

Nope, it's okay to support CL... after all, the game is good (and so was Bridge Builder, which didn't get them a thin dime)!
