Are these on hard with 0 links broken? That seems to be the standard "acceptance test" for this board. http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I think wet bridges should be allowed, more than a few of the records are wet bridges, and the map pack second level cannot be solved without the water touching the train anyway (No matter how slightly the bridge deforms, the train goes for a swim)

Not if you arch the bridge up. But on some levels isn't it automatically a dirty bridge? (ex. any one that uses a plug to fit across the river.)

Records and Hints / Complex mode scores

Why I bother even trying is beyond me. I couldn't beat any of the level scores you listed (yet), but here are my records for my other levels w/ no broken links on hard:
c03: 36408
c06: 67462
c08: 108944
c13: 113784
If we are going to allow broken links for some of the "uglier" levels let me know and then I have some more additions. http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Yep, thats the one. I think its probably a good thing we don't have to deal with flooding in Pontifex, looked like quite a mess. http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I saw a PBS special on a bridge being built somewhere (i forget). Two hours long without commercials watched every second of it. Think it was called superbridge or megabridge or something.

Thanks for all the help, you guys reply quickly. I actually was able to figure it out myself. Here's a crude drawing:

There is a strange arm thing going from the base of the anchor point, and more cables from towers. Huh, that sounds confusing. Oh well! If you still are interested, you know where to reach me: mailto:johnkvinge@hotmail.com.">johnkvinge@hotmail.com.

I've tried for hours now to get level 6 done on the first official map pack. Its so strange (two anchor points total) that I have no idea how i can do it, tried dropping a bridge into place, but they always break. Any help?

On the main menu are two options load level and load bridge. If you use either of these and test a bridge you now have the option to run train or run HAV. you can control the HAV with the keys that were listed. Quake can be used to make eathquakes that will (probably) destroy your bridge (Very Spectacular :o). Have fun, beat complex mode now for more surprises.

For some more solutions check out the post "No structures from beside bridge" in the problems forum. Otherwise keep trying! You'll get it eventually! ;)

Thats actually a pretty common syndrome. Have you heard people talking about tt'ing things? Thats what we call it when you test a bridge by clicking on the test, and then run train buttons quickly. A bridge that is tt'able survives this test w/out any broken links. Many people consider a bridge that breaks links this way to still be dirty.

Records and Hints / Score tables
October 18, 2001, 06:09:56 AM
On the member page it says that the records page is in the works, but doesn't give a date. We'll just have to trust CL for now, and compare by posting top scores for levels.

Records and Hints / Help!! Comlex Level 4
October 12, 2001, 09:58:51 PM
My solution was to build a heavy steel support hanging down to hold the deck, with some cables running from the ancor to hold the other side. On the end I had a peice of deck sticking up that would fall into place once i hit test (ala bridge builder) i would post a pic but my dad deleted it trying himself, thanks a lot. Its dirty but it works.
