General Discussion / Building Golden Gate style Bridges
October 16, 2001, 01:37:38 AM
Suspension cable bridges are cool, but it would be nice if you could pre-tension the cables so the bridge wouldn't do that floppy thing when you test it. Does this make any sense?

General Discussion / How many people on Ikonboard?
October 21, 2001, 04:55:37 AM
I can understand if you don't want to share this type of information, but how many people have registered for this messageboard. Each day I notice one or two names I haven't seen before, and I was just wondering how many you curently have. I hope it's a lot because you deserve a lot of money for making such a great game. http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

General Discussion / .ZIPs of your bridges
October 20, 2001, 04:11:15 AM
www.f2s.com has always been good to me in the past, but they are across the pond so it can run a little slow. No ads, plenty of space, cgi support, all overkill for just hosting bridges .

General Discussion / Hmm . .  publisize Pontifex

I sent a e-mail now to PCGamer asking them to review it, or at least put the demo on their disk, (< 1MB, how easy would that be!). I hope they try to do something, more poeple must know the joy of Pontifex!

General Discussion / Hmm . .  publisize Pontifex

What about PCGamer, they wrote a little sidebar about BB in an earlier issue. The writer said he really enjoyed it. They might be up for giving Pontifex a full review. That could bring thousands more people to the joy of Pontifex! If Firing Squad felt so highly of it to give it an editors choice award, there have to be other respected gaming magazines that would at least review it, right?

I have a lot of respect for Microsoft, their programs (except for windows) seem to work nearly perfectly for me every time. But I have a conflict of interest here, my aunt works for them. http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

General Discussion / Map Pack 1

here's my rather unimpressive solution for level 5. right click on the link and say save target as to download the save and put it in your pontifex/bridges directory http://krazykvinge.tripod.com/kvinge1.pxb" target='_blank'>http://krazykvinge.tripod.com/kvinge1.pxb

Agreed, I like solving them on my own too. The warm fuzzy feeling you get is worth the hours(?) you spend on it. Sorry about it not working on hard, never thought to try, not very surprised though.

No problems here. I did delete the program manager(start menu) entry. Just to be sure.
