Hey guys,

Sometimes, I get a de-sync. I can tell this happens because the playing board totally freezes.

If we were chatting, I will get a 1-2 minute of no chat, and then a sudden deluge of chat all at once.

Ok so what we deduced was that I de-synced from the game. But then after I re-synced, my chat and forum chat reconnected. But the game doesn't reconnect.

In fact, it just stays there, forever!

I haven't had trouble against enemy war elephants yet. It seems the main use for them is to kill mages/archers.
To deal with them easily -

Block the 3rd square in the line. This nullifies their special ability.
Put some armor 2 units in front.

You might have to lose a unit to trade for it, but that's worth it to you because it costs 300.

My experience is that whenever I play a random and there is a wyrm in either army, the game isn't fun usually. Has anyone else noticed this?

I think a unit with knockback ability would be nice. For example, if the knight had a footman-like attack, but it would knock the unit back one square on hit. Like a charge!!

Something like that.

Also a unit that would explode upon dying. Like when it died it would cause 4 damage to surrounding squares or something.  And when it attacked, it would suicide!

The problem with mirror randoms is that range vs range decks and summon vs summon decks are boring.

Summon includes decks where one player has a powerup (healer, enchanter) and the other one doesn't.

FUN GAMES:
Rush vs anything
Range vs summon

NON FUN GAMES:
Others

Benefits:

- This REALLY IMPROVES your tactics and observation. So you won't fall for cheap rider tags, ballista shots, and so on.
- This is a good mode for newbies. Because even if you mess up, you'll usually kill at least half their army, so it feels much closer.
- Learning to use the basic units means you'll do much better in random
- Learning what units beat what units, and how to trade them favourably
- 7 command means you can actually try to kill his general/tactician to hamper his play

I highly recommend this mode! It really helps with other game modes too. I played half a dozen with mongolian and now he is better than me at Zatikon http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I think 0 armor would be fine. Same stats as Archer but different movement.

I think the most important things now -

1. Challenge
2. When out of sync, make it possible to re-join the game. Usually you see the out of sync problems when the opponent chat lags for 10 seconds or so, and then comes in a clump.

I think Ranger is ok now. It already got a nerf from 5HP to 4HP. The problem is that some other 200 gold units are too weak (warrior, templar, knight), not that ranger is too strong.

How much would you pay for an archer/fire archer whose attack was 6 squares? Geomancer at 6 squares? Witch at 7 squares? Changeling/warlock at 8 squares?

I would pay a lot for that. Probably more than a dragon.

The thing is, this game is basically a range game because defense is easier than offense. You can see it's balanced around range as the archer, a 3/3/0 unit with 4 range, costs 150, whereas the bowman, a 3/3/1 unit with 3 range and overwatch, costs 50.

The wizard adds 2 range to a unit, which is huge. For example, it gives geomancer the range advantage over warlock/witch. That's why it is really powerful.

This guy seems really powerful to me. You are basically paying 350 gold to add 2/3 range to your entire army.

How about the jump taking an action?
