Your history is in the gish.his file in your Gish folder. just copy it to your new install and you should be fine.

An Invalid key error means you probably entered it incorrectly, if it had been activated to many times it would give you a different message.  Also firewalls can cause the registration to fail, but you can still use the offline registration and it should work fine.  If you want me to check on our keycode just send me and e-mail with your order number, or keycode.

You should have plenty of memory to run Gish, I dont see that being the problem.  Is the mouse slow when moving around the menus (is the game slow before you start to play it?)

Does the Gish demo still run fine after you updated your video drivers?  Have you tried any other versions of video drivers?

Try some of the collection levels, do all the levels go just as slow, or is it just some levels?

The music crashing bug was fixed for OSX by Woody.  He went into the OpenAL framework and found the problem and recompiled it.  I am sure the same thing can be done to fix the Linux problem, I will ask Woody about what he did to fix it on OSX and see if the same can be done for a Linux OpenAL library.

Glad you figured out what was causing the segmentation fault.  What was your DISPLAY variable set to before?  

Currently running as root, or copying Gish to your home folder is the only way for it to run correctly http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>, we are pretty much Linux novices and don't have a lot of time to put into changing the Linux version.  Its currently set up as our Windows and OSX version are, but I will look into setting up the Linux versions better.

Are you running Gish from the directory it is installed in?  You need to make sure you are doing that, and that Gish has write permissions in that directory.  Otherwise it cannot save settings or progress.

I am not sure what would cause this problem, we dont have any 64 bit systerms running here to test.  SDL is what controls the joystick inputs, so it may be a problem with the SDL lib.

The problem is you have the Garage Games version of Gish and you installed the Chronic Logic Patch.  This will not work.  The Garage Games version of the patch will be availible from their web site soon.

Ok so its working now?  Like I said if you use the OSX patch you just have to copy all the animation files into the current animation folder, everything else can overwrite.  If you know a better way to do a patch for OSX please let me know.

When you install the patch on OSX you have to copy the files from the animation folder in the .dmg to the animation folder in your gish folder.  If you copy the whole animation folder it will over write the existing folder and erase all the files.  Not sure about the ending for level 1.3 let me check.
