General Discussion / Hello everyone!

Yes, the momentum is building! Some day when the CL guys are filthy rich from making great games, we can stand back and say "We were there when it all started coming together!" And at very worst case, if the cL guys don't make it as great game makers, we can stand back and say "We were there when it all started to fall apart!" ;-)

This has been discussed before. Many think the best thing to do is pre-place a full support structure from the ground to teh anchor point. That would make things more "legit"

Great idea!!! I was able to connect, but I couldn't get a directory listing. I'll try again later.
Thanx

General Discussion / Strategies on beginning a level
October 18, 2001, 09:55:30 PM
I always approach the beginnings of making a bridge by studying the empty landscape for 3 hours from varying positions. Then I drink a double half-caff latte and meditate on several Buddhist mantras for a while. Then I refrain from sex and fast for 24 hours. Finally, I basically do the same thing that y'all have mentioned already. :-)

General Discussion / Best HW platform

The rule when putting together any PC system is "Buy the fastest for the amount you're willing to spend!" If you have 贄 to spend, the fastest will be a Pentium 166. If you have 񘈨, the fatsest will be somewhere around a P3 IGHz or P4 1.3GHz.

General Discussion / Hmm . .  publisize Pontifex

Hey Frish, what bad could possibly come of Microsoft taking over CL??? We may see a new game come out called "Bridge Simulator." Then you could import your bridges into Train Simulator and test them there and you could even put them in Flight Simulator to viewfrom above. . .

I just sent off an E-mail to MaximumPC asking them to review Pontifex. Hopefully a review will show up in their mag in a month or so. . .

I am almost done with the original game's (10.1.01 ver) complex levels. I want to install the newer version (10.12.01 ver) to get the new features, but I'm afraid that it will wipe out everything I've done so far and make me start from scratch. Can someone enlighten me on this issue. . .
