I've had no problem running this game on a PII 300 with 64MB RAM. Maybe the problem is the mouse driver?

I still consider myself a purist and wouldn't use the mirror feature, but if it would make others in the Pontifex community happy and it was easy to implement, then why not!

It would be very cool if you had to build a bridge that cost under a certain amount, but had to stand up to rush hour traffic!

Many of us depend on this great game to keep our brains stimulated. Actually, if you come up with a better idea for a different game, I might be able to forgive you;-) So, come on CL guys, give us a little bit of a teaser. . . What type of game are you pondering for your Sophmore effort???

I feel it takes the art out of it as well as the playability factor. You could conceivable make a flat arch to build the roadway or a tall support tower too. . .

Or maybe a way to braid or string multiple cables in the same direction. After all, the giant cables on bridges are made from many smaller ones!

I still think it would be cool, you could always make it an option like the diffuculty level, then people could choose to have it or not!

What if you had an "Expert Pontifex" variation where only a certain amount of time is given to build the bridge? Basically, you'd allow more time as the bridges get more complex.

How about a variation where builders have to build from the ground up? In real life, you cannot create your bridge deck and leave it hanging there while you build your support structure around it! You would literally have to build your bridge like they do in real life. The only programming change would be to implement the excellent physics engine in teh editing mode. . .
