Gish Editor / Piston Help
August 29, 2005, 10:59:31 PM
I need help with a piston...

Im making a Campaign and on the 3rd level i cant get this piston to raise an object attached to a sphere that the piston is effecting...

But when i start the piston goes haywire and breaks the chain...

And the piston is linked to a switch... I held K and clicked the switch...

Why does it do that???

I have a Push piston on the right of the sphere and a pull piston on the right of the sphere and a half pulled piston on the middle...

Is that correct? http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

This is how it looks when i dont even press the switch/when it goes haywire:

Why does it do that?
And why you dont see any chains is because there already on the ground.

If your gish dosent run when you put it on fullscreen and then Full Resolution Just go in the Gish. CFG File and it will be this:

      À                                          €?  €?a   d   s   w   2      0  e                                   ÿÿÿÿ               ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ                                                    l   .   k   j                                   ÿÿÿÿ               ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ                                             f   h   g   t   b   n   m   y                                   ÿÿÿÿ               ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ                                                                                                             ÿÿÿÿ               ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ

And it should be like this to work:

      X                                          €?  €?a   d   s   w   2      0  e                                   ÿÿÿÿ               ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ                                                    l   .   k   j                                   ÿÿÿÿ               ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ                                                                                                             ÿÿÿÿ               ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ                                                                                                             ÿÿÿÿ               ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ

The difference is i was wondering what the F did in the file and it fixed my problem  http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Gish Editor / Player Bug...
August 24, 2005, 11:49:51 PM
In the gish editor im making a drag level
And i was repositioning the players alot and now every time i try to place the first and the second player it is the Clot Gobbler.

Why is that?

I do Home+Left Click in the object editor and the object type is "1" and it always places as the Clot Gobbler.

And it does the same thing when i press End+Left Click.

Why does it do that? http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Gish Editor / Help with the Elevator type piston
August 23, 2005, 10:58:49 PM
For some reason i made a piston that moves a block up and down and when i rub against the wall i stay there and the elevator moves to the side and then goes haywire.

Im sorry... i forgot to save the levels progress and then i loaded backup.lvl and then i loaded the wrong level and accadently saved the wrong level as backup...

So now im stuck here Mad without all my hard work.

But still why did the elevator do that?
