Records and Hints / No problems at all...

My favourite bridge (not level) is simple 14.. You have to see it to believe it.. I nearly pissed my pants laughing when I got it to work.

You know, I can actually see that prediction about the source code and software giants coming true, should you release the source, even if you copyrighted it.

Its a scary world we live in.

I personally don't see much of a community building up over triptych - I doubt triptych contests would be half as popular as Pontifex contests

Unlike Pontifex, triptych is a type of game where, at some point, all the ideas for new features will be exhausted, and the "final version" label will be slapped on. From then on, you'll get the same gameplay over and over again -

Not so with Pontifex - There can always be new map packs coming out, though that hasn't happened for over two months. Someone needs to breathe some life back into the bridge builder community.

Pontifex on its own, however, is getting old. There is only so much you can do with the physical limitations affecting level sizes. I miss the large-scale construcion projects of the original bridge builder.

Hopefully this isn't the last contest ever.

Well, not too long ago, my entire C: got wiped and the other hard disk started developing bizzare problems. Other than losing my 4 gigs of mp3s, all my musical compositions/recording, a lot of my graphics work, etc., I lost Pontifex (not that big a deal), my records page log (not that big a deal either, I can get it off the forums), and all my record bridges.

I'm trying right now to get my computer back on its feet and see how much of my various projects I can salvage. If I'm lucky, I'll make it in time for the second contest, but for now, the unofficial records log is ding dong dead. Too many of the bridges the records are based on are now nonexistant. Hopefully, CL will get their server business settled soon and get the official records page running.

DarkWolfNine's mappack is the best so far. It even uses custom textures.

I'd suggest taking custom texture organisation into your own hands, so that we don't make a mess of the numbering system, and so that textures can be used freely between map packs.

Great! I can get all Ũ records that way! Nothing to break =)

Generally, a dropping bridge *SHOULD* lose to a bridge supported by an anchor, even if the anchored bridge costs more. Come on, those anchors have to be in the level for a reason.

Well, I don't think it would be legal for dwn's map pack, in any case, since the train has to stay on the tracks at all times.

Also, I think it should be illegal because THE s1 RECORD BELONGS TO ME =) =) =)

Anyway all jokes, unless we come up with an overwhelming vote against this, you're now holding the S1 record.

My vote, though is no (nothing to do with the s1 record). It just looks plain stupid, and I think CL will be coming up with a fix against this in their next major version. (Correct me if I'm wrong, though)

Heh, I think he misunderstood the term "slanted" =D
