Here is what is keeping Chronic Logic busy these days.

Next major game: Detective Brand Golf is in the final stages of development. This game is a collaboration between Chronic Logic and Detective Brand.
Other Projects: We are working on an update for Gish which will include some new content.
Other Projects: We now have another Mac and actually have Triptych working on OSX. We are working on updating our code base so all our games will be able to compile on OSX easily, Gish and BCS should be finished soon.
Other Projects: We are also finishing up Gish for Linux.

We always seem to be extremely busy here at Chronic Logic. So busy that we have not had time to update what we have been busy with. Here is what we are currently working on.

Next major game: Gish is in the final stages of development. It will be on display in IGF at the GDC 2004. Gish will be released the following month.
Other Projects: We are collaborating on a Golf game with a company called detective brand. Look for more information from them soon.
Other Projects: We now have a Mac and are porting BCS 1.30 to OSX.
Other Projects: We will port triptych to OSX as soon as we finish porting BCS.

We have been extreamly busy here at Chronic Logic over the last month. Here is what we are working on now.

Next major game: MindRiot is in development. We are working on getting MindRiot ready for IGF.
Current game: Other then MindRiot, we are working on getting Bridge It released and two other games which we will have more information about soon.
Other Projects: Releasing the v1.30 patch for Pontifex II/Bridge Construction Set.
Other Projects: Working on getting a Mac to finish porting BCS 1.30 to OSX.

We have been very busy here at Chronic Logic over that last 2 months. Here is what we are working on now.

Next major game: MindRiot is in development. We are working on getting MindRiot playable and into testing.
Current game: With Word piece, Pontifex II v1.25 and Triptych v1.16 complete we are focusing on MindRiot, Bridge It and another collaboration which we will announce at a later date.
Other Projects: We are messing with the earthquakes in Pontifex II, to make them reliable so they can be used in contests.
Other Projects: Working on getting a Mac to finish porting Pontifex II 1.25 to OSX.

Chronic Logic will be at E3 for most of the week, and we will be making a exciting announcement from E3!

The results are in from Bridge Building contest 26, hosted by http://www.bridgebuilder-game.com/" target="_blank">http://www.bridgebuilder-game.com/ and sponsored by Chronic Logic.
 
This was not a normal contest to say the least, the participants built bridges through an entire Bridge Construction Set map pack spanning twelve original levels, competing for the lowest cost for all twelve bridges combined.  These levels are absolutely amazing, and the some of the bridges accomplish things we never dreamed possible with Bridge Construction Set.  I will be posting some screenshots from contest 26 in the Bridge Construction Set screenshots section, but in the meantime check out the

The Forums have been moved to a better web host which we hope will improve the forums performance.  The move is part of Chronic Logic moving the domain pontifex2.com to a new web host, which should be completed in a few days..  Please post any problems you notice with the new forum.  Once the pontifex2.com move has been completed all bookmarks and urls having to do with the forums should be the exact same as before.

Select New Level from the player menu

F1= Enter and exit editor
                     
A,S,D,W = Pan Screen

Esc = Exit current editor

Left click = place current tile
Right click = delete selected tile

Shift + Left click = Select area
Right click = Deselect area

Press 5 to set the selected area as the exit

C = copy selected area
Left click to paste copied area
Right click to stop pasting

Del = delete selected area

G = Go to tile curser is on

L = Toggles boundary lines

Q, Z = Cycle through available tiles
Shift + Q. Z = Jump through available tiles by 10

Gametype:
 0: Story Mode Level
 1: Collection Mode
 10: Football
 11: Sumo
 12: Amber
 13: Pitfight
 14: Dragster
 15: Vs. collection

Gametime:
 Amount of time for collection mode level, 50=1 second

1 = Edit Background
2 = Edit Midground
3 = Edit Foreground
4 = Edit Way Background

Red, Green, Blue = Edits hue of current level layer

Background:
 Name of the background tga
   
T = opens tile set editor
   Tile set editor:
   Drag and drop tiles from available tile sets into your current edited tile set.
   Q, Z = Cycle through current tile set page by page
   W, X = Cycle through current tile subset
   Use [ ] to cycle through available tile sets

F7= Load level

F9= Save current level
      A file name must be placed in the level name field to save your level with the        extension .lvl

F2 = opens tile editor
   Left click and drag to create boundary lines.
       NOTE: Line MUST be placed clockwise!
   Del= Delete last line placed
   Q, Z= Cycle through current tiles
   A= Creates alpha outside boundary lines
   Friction = Amount of friction tile has (0.0-1.0, less than 0.1 gish can't stick)
   Breakpoint = Amount of pressure the tile takes to break (0.0=unbreakable)
   Middamage = Amount of damage tile does to gish
   Foredamage = Same as above but for tiles placed in foreground
   Density = Density of water
   Drag = Drag in water
       Note: Water tiles must be placed in foreground to work!
   Animation = Number of frames that tile will animate through
   Animation speed = Speed of animation

F3 = opens object editor
   Q,Z= Cycles through objects
   [ ] = Cycles through current objects textures
   Arrow keys = Resize current object
   Left click to place objects
       Note: all objects will be invisible till texture is changed
   Right click to select objects
   Del = Deletes selected object

Advanced piston editing (not for kids)
  to edit the length, speed and revolution of a piston
go into the object editor select the anchor point that the
piston is attached to.
      Red= Length piston extends or contracts (1=1 tile length)
      Green= Seconds per revolution
      Blue= Number of revolutions
NOTE: All Pistons must be attached from the anchor to the object or it wont work!!!!
NOTE: All pistons attached to the anchor will be affected in the same way.
NOTE: If the anchor point is linked to a button the piston will wait until it
     is activated to move
NOTE: Anchors with pistons shouldnt be used as lights.
NOTE: Pistons attached to anchors to wheels is hella complicated!

F5 = Reset current level

If you exit without saving you can reload your level as backup.lvl

Chronic Logic has released Gish version 1.4.  This update includes new four player vs. modes, enables "turbo mode" by default, adds a campaign editor for the level editor and a few other additions.

Chronic Logic releases Triptych version 1.17 for OSX, Windows and Linux.

Gish has been awarded the Seamus McNally Award at this years http://www.igf.com" target="_blank">Independent Games Festival.  The Seamus McNally Award is awarded to the top game of the Independent Games Festival, the Sundance Festival of the video game world.  Gish was given the Seamus McNally Award and the Innovation in Game Design award for the open category, at a ceremony at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.
