Any idea when the patch might come out?

Gish Support / 1.4 - Cannot play!

Yes, got it from Garage games. From a technical point of view, what makes the garage version different from the Chronic Logic one?

Also, how can I remove that patch now? Must I reinstall the game? Will I run into trouble for reactivating it more than once?

Gish Support / 1.4 - Cannot play!

Hi, I just installed the 1.4 Patch but when I start the game it asks me for a key code. But when I try to enter my key code I cannot type other characters than the 6 hexadecimal alpha and the 10 numeric chars. The first letter of my keycode is an M so I can't type it! What can be causing this problem?

Gish Support / Joysticks problem
April 15, 2005, 02:10:42 AM
I started some SDL and managed to move a sprite around with a color key in it. Like you said, it's easy, almost as easier as DirectX with VB. I like how joysticks can be easily managed. Everything is easy. I can understand why you  guys chose to use SDL hehe.

By the way, I bought 2 "SNES to USB adaptor" and the SNES controllers both work fine with Gish! It's like playing a very very nice SNES game haha!

By the way, is SDL hard to learn? I'm a programmer myself and have long considered SDL for my games. I never did the jump though...

Gish Support / Joysticks problem
March 25, 2005, 10:09:21 PM
Hello, I have 2 SideWinder USB gamepads connected and working fine in the control panel properties. But, when I try to use them both in Gish, only one of them is recognized in the Options screen.

Under the Joystick column, when I click on "None", it switches to "Joy1", and then, if I click again, it goes back to "None". It never goes on "Joy2" so I can't even configure the second controller.

I tried with another controller, which is kind of broken but can still be connected, and is not USB, and "Joy2" was now available in Gish... I unplugged it, put the other USB SideWinder again, no success. Still not recognised as "Joy2".

Any help on this one? Thanks.

Hi everyone, I just got the game last weekend and I'm amazed by it. Seriously. Anyway, I'm sure many of you are too. I haven't seen many negative comments about this game.

Anyway, since I just discovered about this game, I was wondering how it all started and when was this game officially released. From what I gathered it was in Q4 2004, but I'm not sure though. So, how was the public reaction when it came out? Was there any kind of peak where more people started to buy the game and has the trend diminished in some way? For me, it was that article from Gamespy where some developers ranted about the fact that nowadays games are hard to come by soon after the release date only because there's too many of them and not enough space on the shelves. He was then pointing how internet distribution was the way to go like valve and garagegames do. The article had a screenshot of Gish and that's what made me interested in it. I tried the demo, and the next day, I was buying it. So, was there a purchase peak after that article was published? Or am I the only who read the whole article haha. Oh, here's the article for those interested: http://www.gamespy.com/articles/596/596734p1.html" target="_blank">Gish is seen on page 4 of the article

On a different subject, what's the latest about Gish updates? I heard about coop, 4 players, net play, and a level pack. These all sound good. I hope it's not a rumour haha.

Oh and was is the limit of different workstation where the game can be installed? I would have to play this during my lunch time at work. I could even give a try to some level development.

Well, that's it. Very nice game you have there people. If only it was more popular so the board could be more alive haha.
