I heard once in this forum about an game style like "King of the Hill" I liked it, would be a good update.
But i have a special idea for game modes:

Name: Realms
You start with your normal army. Also get 25 gold per turn to purchase new units during the game.

What about?

I do not like this idea, i like the strategy behind the trades. Removing it and also removing the ranged flight will cause the wizard extremely underpowered. Enought to make me never use one in my army again.

I do not think its overpowered. The serpent is very easy to kill. But could be added something like serpents cant attack automatically by diagonals.

Paralyses all enemyes at 2 range. Tiggers when medusa attacks.

Paralyse: Give enemy paralyse status. 1/1 times per turn. 4 range. Tiggers when enemy attack.

Paralysed enemyes cant move. Paralyses ends when enemy unit do not act.

I dont like these super units abilities... But its just my opine. And the skinwalker / dracolich just get a normal one after a kill :-(

Communion: 0

Receive 1 communion. Tiggers when an allied melee unit attack the enemy.

Give melee ally extra attack for the turn. Anywhere within 4. The extra attack cant be performed with 0 actions, and cost no commands to use. Cost 1 action. Cost 1 communion.

Give melee ally the skill of counterattack. If the unit is attacked and the attacker is at range, a counterattack is performed at no cost. That can be made 1/1 times per turn.

its ok then.

Architect looks not much fun. I would suggest it to just build some building needing recharge... but nothing of need masons... that would cause a massive number of masons.

Ares looks strange... very very
Saboteur: No random is in this game, please change it.
Get doubled turns is not playable too. At least not for 100$. 550$ would be something.
The spirit thief: I liked this unit, and with the dr. frankstein, is one of the playabe units in my concept. but its very much overpowered... 3 actions and 3 range? for sure.

The plant is nice, but... allies gain a life, its no way with lots of plants... I have an idea for it. Make its attack change enemy life -1 (permanent) (like witch but only one) and 1 range.

The spy and spider looks good. I think there are no need of net explosion. about the dryad, i'm not fun of it cuz of regenerating guys of 8 life. even with 1 action.

and glunkr > they are ideas for the game developer. i dont think he will use much more than 10% of them all.
