i wanna build maps, is it hard, and is four player good?

Making levels can be hard in the beginning, but once you know how it works it's pretty easy.
Wouldn't know about 4-player though, never did that.

Whoopsie, sorry about that. Hadn't realized the site had cracks as well, I thought they only had trainers.

Yep, I get a 404 error too. What a shame, seems like cool campaign.
Contact Edmund about this, I think he's in charge of the site.

General Discussion / Gish Trainer?
September 30, 2005, 12:57:53 PM
Hm, I just remembered that some time ago, someone (no idea who, used an anonymous e-mail service) sent me a link to this trainer...

EDITED:  Please dont link to sites with Cracks on them

The person said to me that it should work with version 1.43 as well.

I'm not sure if it works though. I tried it myself once, when I opened the trainer it immediately crashed.

Gish Editor / Help with the Elevator type piston

I'm not exactly sure if I understood this, but you could try setting the friction of the walls next to the elevator to 0... Setting the friction of the elevator parts to 0 might work too.

BCS General / I bought BCS!
August 21, 2005, 11:38:43 AM
I bought Bridge Construction Set two days ago, and I love it http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
So far I'm at Complex... 5, I think*. Also had a lot of fun with the level editor (making non-bridge constructions) http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
Yeah, uh.. I just wanted to say that.

* Okay, a few times I looked up the solution on the internet http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':;):'>

Also, Chronic Logic... is there any chance that program to import custom objects into BCS is released soon? I've read some things about it but it doesn't seem to be done yet...

I (finally) finished that disco level I was talking about earlier... Not sure if it's considered level art too, but hey... it has pretty lights! Yay http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

General Discussion / The <20 minute video

I think it would be pretty easy to beat that... There's a shortcut in level 1-4 (I think that was it) that lets you skip to one of the Egypt levels http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Gish Editor / lvl art
August 06, 2005, 10:11:01 PM
Whee, I made level art too! It's a little smiley http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
Instead of using coloured tiles, I used lights to colour it.
Download here: http://home.deds.nl/~exxo/misc/smiley.lvl.zip" target="_blank">http://home.deds.nl/~exxo/misc/smiley.lvl.zip
The only problem is that I had to use 8 lights (which is also the maximum number of lights that can appear onscreen) to make sure you don't get any shadows inside the smiley. Because of the 8 lights it may go a bit slow...
Also, I suggest you don't try going into the smiley... I don't think the Gish engine likes the way I made it http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

I was also working on a disco level, with pretty moving lights and stuff... but my dad had to use his PC, so I couldn't finish it http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
It'll probably be finished tomorrow though.

Hehe, thanks guys http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
Yeah, I'll probably give lvl art a shot tomorrow... that is, if one of the 2 computers with Gish is free.

I'm trying to make a horizontal platform that moves out then in but I don't know what object to use.No.2 just falls at the beginning and no.3 won't move horizontally.

You can do it how I did it in one of my Pyramid levels...
I had nothing else to do, so I made this image to explain it:
http://home.deds.nl/~exxo/misc/gishhelp.gif" border="0">
Also a good chance to show off my l33t spriting skills http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

I don't think I need to explain it more, the image speaks for itself, right?

Try the demo! Beware that sometimes you need to build huge (~800 m) bridges in the full version.

Yup, I tried the demo today and it works great on my PC!
But as usual, I had to set all the graphical settings to the lowest http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
Oh well, like I always say: gameplay over graphics!

One disadvantage of this age. http://67.15.141.32/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('> My guess is that at the moment it will cost you a little under 20 euros.

Yeah, money will always be a problem for me when it comes to buying games... and I still have to pay back my parents for that DS I bought while I was on vacation!

Wow, those are some really cool bridges. Looking at them makes me want to buy this game... but first I'll have to see if the game runs on my PC, and if I have the money.

General Discussion / Gish for Palm?
July 05, 2005, 03:36:15 PM
I doubt portable devices would be powerful enough to handle a game like Gish...
I also think it would be a bit hard to control because of the button layout.

It would be cool though!
