Title: Skinwalker
Post by: garcia1000 on November 20, 2008, 06:39:46 AM

I only have 1 skinwalker. :(

Anyway the cheapest unit is 50.
The skinwalker costs 50.

So basically you are freerolling on more expensive units. Plus if you get something like a templar/werewolf/necromancer, you can permanently swap to a more expensive unit.

I think 100 is a bit too expensive though. What to do?

I have quite a few skinwalkers, and I have found that having one or two they can be powerful, however when they start to take up a significant amount of your army they are less powerful.

If someone kills one of your skin walker units, a good chunk of your army just becomes the base unit which is not very powerful at all.

Overall I agree that it is a fairly powerful unit for its cost, but it also has one of the highest deploy costs of any 50 gold unit.  Getting these guys out early can be costly, and they have almost no killing power on their own.

The skinwalker is definately underpriced at $50.  $100 seems very reasonable. Any other solution would mean changing the card function.

Perhaps even making it $100-$150 is a notable change, if the skinwalker could pay say 2 actions and then turn off/on his skin walking ability.

skinwalkers are perfect at 50 points. the only problem with this right now is the replicating trick they do with a templar. i tried the glitch out after i realized tht thr was a glitch with it in co op. it was pretty strong... i hope it doesn't work for constructed or random.
