Records and Hints / No problems at all...
October 13, 2001, 04:01:57 AM
Well, after about 7 straight hours of Pontifixation, I've built bridges on all 16 complex levels which have passed the test on the hard setting.

I've got screenshots of all my solutions hosted, and if anyone would like to see them, feel free to request the URLs.  I hessitate to flat-out post such a collossal spoiler.

I'm very much looking forward to see what people create using the level editor.  I'll see if I can come up with anything interesting as well.

I like complex 14.

Here's another solution.  Pretty minimal at , but it passes the test.  http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

General Discussion / Hmmm, favorite bridge
October 12, 2001, 11:32:50 PM
Oh I disagree.  Cables seem very strong with smaller bridges, but having been doing some larger ones, Complex 10 for example, cable snapping has become my biggest problem.  Load them too much and they'll just let go.  Splash.

For Complex 10 I initially thought I could just reproduce the Golden Gate Bridge, using the suspended anchors in place of towers.  Hang a pair of cables from one anchor to the other, and hang the road from that.  Nope.  Cables can't take that much load.
