Title: 11/15/05 - Current Projects: Indie games industry
Post by: Chronic Logic - Josiah on November 15, 2005, 06:19:37 PM
Last month I did a little work on improving the web site.  I am still finishing up these changes, but I started looking into the Opera browser problem and discovered a number of small changes that should be made to generally improve the web page code.  I also have been working on a new logo for Chronic Logic, which I think is going to be pretty cool.  The only problem is it does not exactly match the website so now along with fixing up some minor coding problems on all the pages, I am experimenting with some minor changes to the color scheme which could snowball into a redesign.  Nothing is easy :)  I am also starting some development on a couple of new ideas.  Also working together with some other indie developers which hopefully will be producing some new games in the future :)  I will post more about that soon.

If you are interested in Indie games and the Indie games industry here are a few posts that you might find interesting:

This is about the Indie Games Conference (IGC) 2004, which is hosted by Garage Games every year.  I attended IGC 2004 and really noticed the split in Indie Games that Dan MacDonald is talking about:

This is the Jeff Tunnell from Garage Games addressing much of that same issue in a keynote speech on game design:
