its fun to go through a suspension bridge in train view while holding 'q' down . .  the train usually falls off before the bridge falls . .

you've all seen that movie . . where there is this old suspension bridge and it is twisting around like a snake in the wind . . . . it is way cool . .  thats he effect pfx gives my sus bridges during earthquake . . .

none other break at all during the time the train spends on the bridge.

is that clean enough?

Records and Hints / HAV???
October 15, 2001, 07:08:37 PM
click run hav, go to hav view(replaces train view)

use  'w' to drive forwards

use 's' to go backwards

use 'a' and 'd' to turn,

and use the arrow keys to tilt.

when you beat complex, hold shift and 'w' to hover up into the air and bank to move.

it works like a helicopter.

its funn to go reall high up and divebomb the bridges, mucho breakness.

bah! this whole clean thing disgusts me . . . .

i mean, most of my bridges pop about 4 links right after test is pushed, but the train can get over them without popping any.  they were just useless links . . .the bridge didn't need them.  you should be able to delete those links from the member that they are in / / it would be useful . .ill post about it in next version ideas

also . .the whole thing where it starts excatly where it was in design mode and then falls and bends and bounces all crazy like when you hit test, you should be allowed to kinda slo-mo that thing . . .where the bridge settles slowly . . . and doesn't bounce or  break links that would normally not be broken . . . . . . . you know what i mean if you ever built a cable stayed bridge .. . . . .

anywho.  um, yah

General Discussion / I'm really disappointed.

y;know, when you quit your job and spend hours and dollers designing a great game, have it get an award from a review website (even if the site is a bit off the beaten trail) and then have interest limited to about, id say, close to a hundred players, then you get depressed and apathetic.  i wouldn't know firsthand, of course, but still, have a little sympathy.  for however long it took to design the game they expected more than what they got.  beat up everyone you know and force them to buy pontifex, then we will see about getting angry.

General Discussion / Hmmm, favorite bridge
October 12, 2001, 09:23:37 PM
yep, do you like suspension(my favorite) . . . that includes anything suspened by cables from towers . .  cable-stayed and all the rest are included in this catagory

or triangly ones(dunno what to call them)

arches . . . . . includes arches with the deck suspended by cables . . . . .

most of the later levels in mine are all suspension bridges . . . the earlier are ones are usually triangly . . . .

i tried a coupla bridge suspended from arch by cables . . . the look cool, but mine have an unhealthy habit of falling apart . . . .

suspension bridges look the coolest, too.

yes, stress it slow, don't just drop kick all the invisible hand-of-god supports out from under it when you hit test . . . let it start curved and bent and stuff.

I wrote the senior computer game editor at www.Gamespot.com an e-mail telling him that he should check this game out.

Cuz then everyone at gamespot will love it (a given)

it will make front site news for a day or so, maybe longer under the computer game reviews section .

people will buy it . . ChronicLogic people will become rich, and they will feed us more uber-addictive games.

ChronicLogic forever!
